I work with emerging adult individuals and couples. I do not work with minors at this time.
-
In the first three months, I recommend that we meet weekly or bi-weekly to establish trust and lay the groundwork to achieve your goals for care.
After the first three months, we will partner on a schedule that best fits your needs. Depending on your life flow and where you’re at in care, you could find that scheduling sessions weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly is best. We can also adjust at any time based on your progress and goals.
-
Sessions are available in person or virtual. You will have a choice at the time of scheduling for your preferred method. All virtual sessions are conducted through a private secure platform with Simple Practice.
Please feel welcome to share any questions or concerns you may have.
-
Your first visit will be 90 minutes. All subsequent sessions are 50 or 80 minutes in length at your choosing. You decide on what feels right for you at the time of scheduling.

No, you are not required to have a mental health diagnosis to receive therapy with me.
As a fee-for-service provider, I am not required to provide a mental health diagnosis. While important to understand, often times mental health diagnoses are required by insurance and third party payor sources to determine the necessity of care.
From my perspective, simply being human is a great enough reason for seeking help! I also do not find mental health diagnostics to support my approach to care nor do they deepen my understanding of you, ability to be present with you, and capacity to develop a secure, stable, safe environment for your healing.
-
Some people find it helpful to bring along a journal or notebook for notes and to reflect in between sessions. You’re always welcome to bring along water, a snack, a comfort item, or any self-care tools.

You are the expert of your experience, and you know yourself best. Even when you aren’t sure what beneficial help may look like, you can sense that you are in need of help.
The initial visit to Sunday Therapy is a guided experience to see if I can be of support with your unique needs. From there, you’ll have a partner to decide what kind of approach would bring you healing and empowerment.
-
Your therapy sessions and the effectiveness of intervention are dependent upon your truthful and active participation. An open mindset and willingness to accept change are your best assets in therapy.
It requires a great effort from you both in session and outside of our time together. You guide the areas of focus in creating the life you desire, and I will shape an individualized approach to support you along the way.
In our partnership, we will find moments of reflection to review what we have worked on together and your progress over time. You will make progress and it’s your responsibility to celebrate yourself.
-
You will establish a trusting and nurturing partnership with me that will empower change and healing. You can expect me to be honest, direct, compassionate, and empathetic. The space at Sunday Therapy is inclusive, welcoming, and non-judgmental. You will find the office to be professional, private, and comfortable.
At times, you may have feelings that you don’t recognize. Together we will process and put words to your experience.
